Over at thegloss.com, there is a review of the new OPI Coca-Cola lacquers that we described back in March. The author was skeptical at first–she wasn’t intrigued by the idea of more nail polish colors based on corporate branding. But once she saw what the shades actually looked like, she changed her tune. She was especially enamored by Coca-Cola Red, a classic red lacquer based on the world famous Coke can…a bright red that’s perfect for summer.
To see all of the OPI nail polish collections that we have to offer, visit the OPI collections page at the Nail Polish and More website.
Vinylux from CND made its debut over the summer at the Nail Polish and More website, and this successor to Shellac has been gaining recognition ever since. Vinylux removes the need for a basecoat, requires no UV curing, and can be removed at home. This means that you can get a manicure that looks as great as gel polish without any of the inconvenience.
The Chicago Tribune has a review of the product, and you can take a look at NPM’s announcement here. To see all of the Vinylux styles available from Nail Polish and More, check out the CND Vinylux page at the NPM main site.
Standing Ovation, one of the shades in Jessica’s A Night at the Opera collection
If you’re looking for nail polish for going out on the town, the brand new A Night at the Opera collection from Jessica Cosmetics might be right for you. It includes two crème colors and four shimmer styles, all of which can help make any night full of fun and intrigue.
First, the Blue Aria color comes with a dark blue design that is opaque and can be applied with two coats. It goes on smooth without lumps. Like all of the shades in A Night at the Opera, Blue Aria can be seen in a recent review by the PolishAholic.
Opening Night is a pinkish fuchsia color with a bit of a duochrome finish to it. It works with two coats to create a stunning impact.
Overture features a bright red-orange tone that tends to create some shine around the middle parts of the nails. This color works best when a pair of coats have been added to the nails. Orange accents can appear when the nails are in the shade. Continue Reading

Have you ever wanted to figure which EXACT shade of nail polish would be best for you? Or which seasonal nail polish collection would be most appropriate? Polishes from different brands are often similar colors, so it helps to be able to see them next to each other to look at their differences. The PolishAholic has done a nifty comparison of four different Fall 2013 collections, one each from OPI, China Glaze, Essie, and Zoya.
If you check out her review, you can see similar colors next to each other on her fingers. She did a great job taking photos of all of the colors that are comparable so you can see which would be best for you.
