The latest in great OPI partnerships is the new Peanuts nail polish collection for Halloween 2014. The lacquer set is inspired by one of the most famous Halloween films, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.”
Peanuts by OPI contains four colors, one each associated with Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, and Linus:
Good Grief! – A yellow crème to match Charlie Brown’s shirt.
WHO ARE YOU CALLING BOSSY?!? – Black crème reminiscent of Lucy’s hair.
To Be or Not To Beagle – Black glitter mixed with hex glitter of different colors, inspired by Snoopy’s “happy-dance”.
Where’s My Blanket??? – Orange and black glitter representing Halloween and the Great Pumpkin which Linus so eagerly awaits.

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, which means getting together with your mom, doing something fun with her like going to brunch, and enjoying the spring weather. It’s also a good opportunity to give yourself (or your mom) a new look for your nails. At accesshollywood.com, there is an excellent DIY tutorial on how to create a simple tulip nail design for your nails. The creative mind behind this nail art idea is Jin Soon Choi, one of the biggest names in the nail fashion industry.
The tutorial is only five straightforward steps, and the result is a cheerful and stylish manicure featuring a popular flower of the spring season. You can do it yourself, or you and your mom can work on it together .
Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!

The Tampa Bay Times has a short feature on non-traditional colors of nail polish that are great for the winter holidays. While red nails tend to be the standard for manicures during this time of year, there are other options. Writer Stephanie Hayes gives five of her favorite new shades of the season, one of which is Bells Will Be Blinging by China Glaze. This polish is part of the Happy HoliGlaze collection and contains blue and gold glitter.
Be sure to wear colors you like during the holidays, not just ones traditionally seen during the Winter season.
With the winter holidays upon us, it’s time for many nail enthusiasts to decorate their nails festive designs. Some nail art can be very simple, while other examples can be intricate and require a lot of experience. Allure.com has a guide to holiday nail designs that is great for anyone, as there are three manicures, one each for people with advanced, intermediate, and beginner skill levels.
The advanced nail design is called the “Full-On Mrs. Claus”, and it features snowflakes, a snowman, and a Christmas tree. The medium skill level manicure is referred to as “Wrapping Paper Nails”, and it will make your nails look like gifts that are ready to be opened. The final design, which is for beginners, is two-toned and called “Elegantly Festive”. It is a stylish look featuring a rich burgundy like Visions of Love in the OPI Mariah Carey Holiday Reds collection, along with a silver glitter.
With these three options, everyone can wear a festive nail design for the holiday season. Discover the manicure that is right for you!
